You could say it was fate that brought me to work at Radio86 over two years ago and I still feel blessed to be a part of our multinational team.
What started as a groundbreaking experiment in Finnish radio has now turned into a full-blown media enterprise with nearly 30 people involved in creating material for radios and websites.
Not only is Radio86 a success story, it also brings immense joy for those involved in creating it. I have to admit that coming to work is actually a whole lot of fun and everyday is an opportunity to learn something new.
During my previous years as a journalist and drama student I never thought this kind of work existed. I get to travel, meet fascinating people, and most importantly, I can make a difference. Building a bridge between China and Europe may not be the easiest of tasks, but making people aware of different perspectives, respecting differences, taking a stand...that is not only important, but something that should have been done decades ago.
This English site was created to be a platform for everybody’s China. Hopefully Your China is presented here as well.
My China is hidden here behind the comic dragon, contemplating the changes China is going through, looking at the future through the eyes of a farmer in Yangshuo or a supermodel in Shanghai.
