One of China's hottest celebrity couples, actors Tony Leung and Carina Lau, tied the knot in a Buddhist-inspired ceremony held in Bhutan on Monday.
The wedding, attended by members of Bhutan's royal family, took place at the exclusive Uma Paro resort in Himalaya. About one hundred guests including a host of other top celebrities, such as singer Faye Wong, director Stanley Kwan and actors Brigitte Lin, Chang Chen and Ti Lung attended the ceremony.
Tony Leung, who was voted best actor at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival for his performance in the film In the Mood for Love, is a long-time collaborator of Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai.
Both Leung and Lau appeared in Wong's films Days of Being Wild and Ashes of Time.
In the series of official wedding photos released to the press, Leung and Lau appear dressed in traditional Bhutanese, as well as Chinese and Western wedding attire.
Tony Leung is best known for his roles in the movies Infernal Affairs and Happy Together.
