Actions speak louder than words, so doing a brief disappearing act might work as a sort of magic.

Take yourself out of town for a trip and leave your mobile phone at home. If you want to stay home, batten down the hatches and ignore calls and knocks on the door. Anyone who has been taking you for granted will soon get the message that you have a life too. If your way of life has been at the beck and call of others for far too long, then do extra things for yourself first and if there is some spare time and energy, maybe you can be available to help out. Trust that you will be appreciated more when you walk off to do your own things once in a while.
