Andy Lau Hong Kong's most bankable actor

Hong Kong actor singer Andy Lau is the region's most bankable actor, CRI writes.

The movies that Lau has starred in have generated a total of almost 50 million euros at the Hong Kong box office since 1997.

Actress Sammi Cheng is the top female with 31 million euros. The most bankable director is Johnnie To with 30 million euros.

Currently Andy Lau is on tour in mainland China promoting his new album "Miracle World." He was pleased to hear the ratings, saying he would continue to work for another profitable decade, CRI says.

Lau's acclaimed crime thriller "Brothers" came out in October.

His next on-screen appearance will be in "The Warlords," featuring co-stars Jet Li and Takeshi Kaneshiro. The movie will open in Chinese cinemas in December.
