China and India signed an implementation pact on cultural exchange

China and India signed on Wednesday an implementation pact on cultural exchange which is valid until the end of 2009.

This cultural agreement was signed by Chinese Cultural Minister Sun Jiazheng and Indian Minister of Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni. "The Sino-Indian cultural exchange has now entered a new height", said Minister Sun during the signing ceremony.

The Indian Minister Soni said that now the peoples of the two nations will get to know each other's culture and lifestyle better. The two peoples of these great nations would be connected more closely, according to the Ministers.

The Sino-Indian cultural exchange pact covers among others litterature, art, archeology and sports.
