Happy Valley, Happy Adventure

Renowned to be local Disney, Beijing Happy Valley was completed and opened to the public in July, 2006. Since it opened, it has attracted and successfully received thousands and hundreds tourists to enjoy and refresh themselves. I am looking forward to have fun there for a long time, but it’s too crowded there every weekend.

Finally, I got a day off in the weekdays! I can’t wait any longer! My husband and I decided to go there with my cousin and her husband, because they have 40 days marriage leave and we need them to take a lot of pictures for us :)

We arrived on the Happy Valley in the early morning, but there were so many people waiting in the queue already. I was a little bit afraid that I had to wait for a long time for every attraction. But after I went into the wonder park I found that I worried too much, because the Happy Valley is so big that I couldn’t feel there were a lot of people inside at all.

According to the map of the Happy Valley there are six theme zones in it. Since we got there very early and most of the attractions were not open yet, we decided to take pictures at first. The six zones are Shangri-La (utopian), the lost Maya, Atlantis, ant place, Aegean harbor and firth forest. Each zone has a unique style. We took pictures in the tree house, beside the volcanoes and in front of the pyramid.

(Image: Laura Luo)There are 120 challenging entertainment games in the six theme zones and the most famous one is the crystal wing, the one of the biggest roller coasters all over the world. It is the only one in Asia! I couldn't help to challenge it! This is an aero roller coaster. When I sit down, the seat fixed me in a position of fly--- the whole body is facing the ground! The crystal wing was getting faster and faster! After climbing the highest point, we fell down suddenly. I forced myself to keep my eyes open, but I couldn’t see anything clearly except the green lawn below me. Everybody was screaming! Everything whirled past me as the roller coaster gathered speed! I was flying between the narrow valleys! Oh my God! I might crash into the strange shaped rocks!

After finish the exciting adventure, I felt the whole world is going round and round! Afterwards, I challenged the other games one by one, but comparing with the crystal wing, Ant band. (Image: Laura Luo)they are just some pieces of cake! The fantastic performance such as Maya disaster, Snow Phoenix and Ant Kingdom were very enjoyable! I felt that I was in the real earthquake and volcanic eruption. Before the end of our adventure in the Happy Valley, we took the park train to enjoy the whole scenery of the park. We went through the Maya, Shangri-La, Aegean harbor, firth forest and Atlantis. In the after glow of sunset, the Happy Valley waved her hand and said goodbye to us.
