A tradition for the winner of sailing competition -- coaches thrown into the water. (Image: CRI)The Olympic sailing regatta has concluded, with a closing ceremony to be held on Saturday night. It's been really a fantastic experience for me, and I believe, for most reporters from home and abroad as well.
In the past two weeks, I have witnessed so many ups and downs. There is definitely no perfection in the world, but the willing and determined spirit of each sailing athlete in Qingdao has move both his or her opponent and people around, no matter what the final result might be.
I found that most of the sailors here were younger than me out of a sudden a few days ago, who were mostly born after 1980s. Wow, time is flying. It's undoubted the Beijing Olympics has convened the most outstanding youth worldwide.
Of course, the frenzy joy the Chinese athletes have brought to our country is magnificent.
It's my first time to witness with my own eyes the glorious return of Olympic hero, the gold medalist Yin Jian. People on the bank cheered, shedding tears, laughing and hugging each other. That's the moment each athlete is dreaming about, I think.
